Vision and Direction

Our vision has 3 aspects...

1) Intimacy with Jesus:

The whole of the bible is about our relationship with God. How we live. How God the Father sees us through His son Jesus Christ. Genesis starts the account by God and man, Adam, being in perfect harmony and relationship while Revelations shows us again coming back into perfect relationship. God’s heart and longing is for every person to have a personal intimate relationship with him so he is able to enjoy our company as his sons.

2) Relationship with Each Other:

Healthy and wholesome relationship with each can only come out of a relationship with God.The whole of the bible also shows that where God has been left out of a human relationship there can be a real threat of breakdown.The expression of a healthy relationship is when we love each other even when we disagree.

3) Impacting the World:

There is only one thing we can do better in this life rather than in the next. We can help those who do not have a relationship with God understand the fantastic potential of having such a relationship. This happens when we are as individuals and corporate church in ‘intimacy with Jesus’ and ‘relationship with each other’. Nearly every person I speak to today is asking for reality and certainty. Jesus gives both.

Direction

We are further exploring with Emigre Foundation shaping our faith and direction in the context of a post-modern society using some of the language and tradition of being in the world but not of it, strangers (or aliens!) in a foreigh land (culture).

This particularly looks at developing a way for living that is modelled around Jesus' teaching in the Sermon on the Mount to bring the restoration of the church within the culture we find ourselves in.
